The Allied Health Professions Council has expanded its nationwide monitoring and inspection exercise to the Bono East Region, following the conclusion of a major phase of operations in the Northern Region

AHPC Monitoring and Inspection Exercise Moves to Bono East RegionThe Allied Health Professions Council’s Monitoring and Inspection Team has begun inspections in the Bono East Region, starting with visits to Holy Family Hospital in Techiman and other selected healthcare facilities.

The move comes after the successful completion of a significant phase of the exercise in the Northern Region, where inspectors uncovered multiple regulatory violations. According to preliminary findings, at least eleven health facilities were shut down for operating in breach of regulatory requirements, while several unqualified practitioners were arrested for allegedly engaging in unlawful practice.

The Council’s Compliance Team in Tamale remains deployed and will continue inspections across the Northern Region, while the Monitoring and Inspection Team advances its operations in Bono East and other designated areas.
